Ever wondered what really goes into making businesses a force for good? Hear directly from two people who've done it: John Mackey, the co-founder who grew Whole Foods Market, and Paul Rice, founder of Fair Trade USA and author of the new book, "Every Purchase Matters."
They'll dive into the realities of ethical sourcing and conscious shopping, drawing on Paul's decades building the Fair Trade movement (including stories from his book about working with – and sometimes missing opportunities with – big corporations) and John's experiences leading a natural foods revolution. It's a look at the untold stories and lessons learned along the way.
In this conversation, John Mackey, the co-founder of Conscious Capitalism, talks with Paul Rice about the nuts and bolts of Fair Trade. They'll tackle key questions: What role should businesses play in making the world better? Can ethical sourcing actually pay off? And how can we make a difference with our shopping choices? You'll also hear Paul's fascinating journey from anti-capitalist activist to a leader working within the system, and understand how farmers, companies, and shoppers are all connected in creating change.
